Brazil Decaffeinated

Single Origin Speciality Coffee

This coffee has been decaffeinated through 100% chemical-free osmosis. Understood to be the only way to get the truest taste of origin without hindering quality in the cup, our Fairtrade SWP decaf from Brazil is perfect for those wanting to avoid caffeine.

The Cerrado is the largest woodland savanna in South America and biologically one of the richest in the world. Farmers in the region must preserve 35% of the land’s indigenous habitats for wildlife such as grassy savannas, scrublands and forests.

This coffee is smooth, mild and sweet with good notes of roasted peanut, soft milk chocolate and cookie dough; medium-bodied with mild acidity and slight burnt sugar sweetness.

Ideal as pour-over or cafetiere, but also perfect for espresso.

Producer: Smallholders in Cerrado, Brazil
Process: Natural
Varietals: Catuia | New World | Tupi

El Salvador

Single Origin Speciality Coffee

Grown on the Monte Sión Estate, this remarkable Bourbon varietal is one of the oldest and purest coffee varieties. The Monte Sión Estate was set up by the Urrutía family in 1906, and is still run today by Dr. Luis Urrutía and his wife. In 2001 the Estate invested in becoming Rainforest Alliance certified and has had great success providing nesting for migrating birds. Not only is it dedicated to growing great coffee, Monte Sión has also been recognised by the United Nations for combating poverty in El Salvador.

Shade grown and maturing slowly allows for more flavour, sweetness, and body to develop. The result is an amazingly complex coffee once roasted; rich and sweet with thick syrupy body and notes of ripe fruit, subtle almond and hazelnut.

Expect a complex acidity at the front of the cup with a persistent sweet and treacle-like finish.

Let the fruity tones shine through as a pour-over, or enjoy as a malty espresso with no bitterness.

Sumatra

Single Origin Speciality Coffee

Experience our superbly bold organic coffee from western Indonesia which is expertly grown using certified organic agricultural techniques in rich, volcanic soils at high altitudes.

The Asoiasi Kopi Gayo Organic Cooperative was founded in 2008 and began to export Fairtrade organic coffee in 2010. Sourced from family-owned farms located in the Takengon highlands of the Aceh province, this region of Indonesia is also referred to as the “Gayo land” because the coffee farmers are from the Gayonese ethnic group whose villages are situated between 1,000 and 1,500 meters above sea level.

This coffee is well-rounded and earthy with spicy, chocolate notes and tropical fruits; full-bodied with a velvety texture and a persistent finish.

An incredible coffee from one of our favourite coffee regions, the Sumatra makes an excellent ristretto for those that enjoy an intense coffee hit, bringing balsamic acidity without losing its earthy depth.

Colombia

Single Origin Speciality Coffee

Located in south-western Colombia, the Timana Cooperative has been working with Fairtrade since 2007 to ensure socio-economic stability for its small coffee grower families.

Deeply dedicated and award-winners for their speciality coffees, the Cooperative grows over 80% of its coffees in the shade at high altitude. With a focus on environmental sustainability and high agricultural standards, the Cooperative is known for producing consistently high-quality speciality coffees at every harvest.

A wonderfully bright and fruity coffee with notes of chocolate and blackcurrant. This coffee has a complex and juicy body with great sweetness and balance throughout.

Excellent body as espresso, blackcurrant notes as filter.
